Welcome to the Challenging Health Outcome Inequities through Community Engagement Lab at DePaul University!

Here at the CHOICE Lab, we recognize that health behavior decisions are limited to the choices available. Systemic barriers linked to racism and oppression undoubtedly limit access to health care, prescription drugs, and nutritious foods and limit opportunities for physical activity. They also increase stressors related to poor health status. That is why we are committed to working at the individual, community, and policy levels to build partnerships and develop interventions and legislation that address health inequities so that everyone has a fair choice to make regarding their health.
